I was in Kelowna for just a few days mid-week and I was craving some post-work exercise. Most of the mountains around Kelowna were covered in a blanket of snow, but far off in the distance, I could see that Blue Grouse Mountain was mostly dry. I wasn’t sure what the condition of the road might be and there was a chance I’d be hiking back in the dark. Despite that, I committed to getting out and at least going for a walk.
The drive in was easy and I was actually able to drive so high up that I deliberately parked early to avoid missing out any exercise at all. From there it was a matter of following the road almost to the summit. Just below the top I opted for a “short-cut” which proved to be both bushier and more post-holing than expected. Eventually I did reach the top.

To my dismay the real summit was behind a barb wired fence enclosure. Some telecommunication equipment was planted firmly on the top. I teleported over to the true summit in a legal fashion and then teleported back before descending down the road and skipping my short cut.

I was back at the truck in much faster time than expected and happy to have just gotten out at all.
