After summitting Classified Peak, Calum, Garrick, Gabe and myself were working our way along the north ridge to reach a slightly shorter summit to the north. We dropped down about 150m from the ridge of Classified to the col in a mix of deep snow and slabby boulders. Once at the col we could see two gendarmes that might pose a problem, but the terrain seemed relatively tame over all.

We booted up the south ridge, eventually reaching more dry rock and then easily bypassed the gendarmes on the west side. Gabe lead us up some low angle snow slopes where we reached the final summit block. A short section of 3rd class scrambling allowed us to gain the top. We built a cairn and then down-scrambled and walked back down the south ridge.

From there we had to retrace our slopes up to the shoulder of Classified Peak, but for our elevation gain we were rewarded with a long ski run back to the glacier below. The eastern slopes of Classified Peak were in perfect shape for nice turns and we made a bee line at the base for the summit to east of us.

We’d later go on to call our latest peak: Clandestine Peak.
